Blueprint Artist Spotlight: PROK & FITCH

Tipped by the British national media as 'One's To Watch', and Beatport's Artist tip in 2010, with rave reviews in 2011 Prok & Fitch have more than proved the journalists' predictions right. The hottest DJ/producer pairing in house music have chalked up an impressive array of achievements over their 5 years working together, with annual worldwide tours including Brazil, North America and Australia alongside their full international DJ diary, a new Ministry of Sound residency looming and releasing both critically acclaimed and dancefloor-approved tracks.
Now focusing on their original productions, Ben Prok and James Fitch's works have been spread across some of the biggest labels in the business: Axtone, Great Stuff, Toolroom, CR2, Stealth, 303Lovers, Ultra and more. With serious and diverse support from the likes of Carl Cox to the Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong to Tiesto, there's few clubs worldwide which haven't witnessed the Prok & Fitch reaction.
Of course the boys make sure they keep their biggest productions for their own label Floorplay. As well as their own material, contributions from Cevin Fisher, Filthy Rich, My Digital Enemy , ATFC, Kid Massive, Will Gold, Jordy Lishious, DJ Disciple, David Penn and a whole host of their contemporaries means that as 2011 draws to a close the label is fast approaching 30 releases.
As well as original productions, Prok & Fitch have also been remixing for some heavy duty names including Laidback Luke and Moby and for labels like Strictly Rhythm & Defected. Their Loopmasters sound pack was number one on the site after 3 weeks and it's clear the Prok & Fitch sound provides inspiration and tools for many a producer.
Floorplay Music is much more than a record label though Ð it's a way of life! Floorplay parties have quickly become stuff of late night legend. What started off as a small label showcase night has turned into regular roadblocks and sell outs in Brighton, Dubai and London. The Guardian, Mixmag, IDJ and DJ magazine have all proclaimed Floorplay to be one of the 'best nights in the South' and it's easy to see why Ð guests have included Dirty Vegas, Chris Lake, Mark KnightÉ the list just goes on.
Prok & Fitch have been rinsing their passports lately too Ð Rocking mainstages at many a festival, and playing at some of the most prestigious clubs in the world: Amnesia in Ibiza, Sankeys in Manchester, Pacha in Sao Paolo and Circus in Montreal. It's difficult to find a country that they haven't visited in the past 12 months.
Closer to home, the boys have also fulfilled one of their lifetime ambitions: to spin in the Wild Fruit arena at Brighton's infamous Pride festival, which attracts over a quarter of a million revellers over one weekend, and a residency at the Ministry of Sound in London starting in 2012.
In the DJ booth, it's all about the groove with these guys, and from the dancefloor it's all eyes to the energy filled, 4 deck turntablism that's as much as a show as it is an aural explosion. Whether they are on a line up with the underground crew keeping it deep and dark or playing in the big main rooms for the masses, their versatility and acceptance across genres has been key to their success to date!
